For the 10th edition of Scaniaparken S.S. presents a sound installation by norwegian artist Jana Winderen created from field recordings made on site both over and under water. As last years installation by Lucier/Wellmer directed our attention to the inaudible sounds of the spheres, Winderen inverts the parabolic of the park to an ear towards the depth of Öresund.
The unique event will host two concerts and a duo performance by the influential Australian guitarist Oren Ambarchi and the canadian sound artist Crys Cole on electronics. Ambarchi has a well stated reputation performing with Keiji Haino, Jim O´Rourke and Sunn O))) among others. Cole is an improvising musician from Canada, playing with people like Keith Rowe and experimenting on the border between intentionality and unintentionally. As a coincidence, this is the principal idea of the concert series, directing the attention of the audience to the relation between the natural sounds of the site, the landscape and the music of the performers.
